Your driver/guide brings St. Louis alive today with a birds-eye view of the city. You'll drive by such sites as Laclede’s Landing, the historic Soulard district, Union Station, Forest Park site of the 1904 World's Fair and the magnificent Gateway Arch, which soars 630 feet into the air!
During the tour you'll have a choice of a stop at the Arch or Anheuser-Busch Brewery. At the Gateway Arch, you can purchase a ticket to ride a 5-passenger tram to the enclosed observation deck at the top. Or you may purchase a ticket to view the film, Monument to the Dream, which chronicles the construction of the Arch. If your choice is the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, it is a walking tour of the world's largest beer producer and you will be offered a sample of the product at the conclusion of the tour.
Midway through the tour there is a seventy-five minute stop which offers you a choice of a visit to either the Missouri History Museum or the St. Louis Art Museum both located in Forest Park. The History Museum houses changing exhibits which highlight St. Louis and Missouri history, whereas, the Art Museum reflects a diverse collection of various art pieces and artists.
Ample time is allowed for lunch and shopping in the unique gift shops. If availability allows, the final stop will be at the St. Louis Basilica (The New Cathedral). This stop gives you the opportunity to view the largest collection of mosaics in the western hemisphere.
